Any one who has seen or read the series knows about the cruelty behind the Frey Household. The Freys cause one of the most horrific moments in the series later dubbed the "The Red Wedding." Using a wedding as a front the family massacres most of their guests and dismembers one of the main characters and his dire wolf. The death of the character whose body was disgraced was seen by his little sister named Arya. Taking revenge into her own hands she later uses the abilities she has gained to seek her vengeance. Using a technique using others faces, Arya disguises herself as a servant and bakes a pot pie and serves it to the head of the household. When the head of the household, Walder Frey, commands her to call his sons to dinner she simply says, "But they're already here, my lord." And horrifically he realizes he's been eating the pie that was made with human meat. She reveals her true face and says, "My name is Arya Stark, I want you to know that." She soon completes her revenge by murdering him. As disturbing as the scene was, Frey Pie is one of the most iconic Game of Thrones meals and as such it felt wrong not to recreate it. I substituted the 'Frey meat' with chicken. I used cooked seasoned chicken with cream of celery soup, peas and carrots and cooked potatoes. And baked the pies at 350 degrees for about an hour and a half. I added a little pie crust gingerbread for a bit of dark humor.
